Denise Marie Perkins Remembered

Denise was born October 25, 1960 in Fort Worth, TX. She transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, May 2, 2020, at St. Francis Medical Center. Denise was a proud graduate of Carroll High School Class of 1978. She studied at Louisiana Tech University. She worked as a paraprofessional with the Monroe City School Board (where she worked for 25 years). She retired in May 2018. Denise was a dedicated member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. She was loved deeply by her church family (especially the youth with whom she worked closely for over 20 years). She was a member of the Sunday School Class of Ruth, for H.I.M. and the Usher Ministry (where she served as the President and Jr. Usher Supervisor). One grandchild, Kylee Perkins, preceded her in death. Her precious memories will linger on in the hearts of her two children: Terrius Perkins and Natasha McClain; her mother, Maerell Perkins, her siblings, Sylvester Robinson and Pamela Bolton Jones; her grandchildren: Kaiylen McClain and Terance Williams, Jr.; her Rose of Sharon Church Family, Carroll High School Classmates, other relatives and friends. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2020, 1:00 p.m. at Richwood Memorial Gardens (following the State of Louisiana Stay at Home Order issued by Proclamation Number 33 JBE 2020).
