Thank You Volunteers, Essential Workers and Officials:

We are All in this Together!

On behalf of the residents of Monroe, the Monroe City Council and I are truly thankful for the support our city is receiving from so many volunteers, businesses, restaurants, churches, non-profits, municipal, state and federal officials. THANK YOU!

Volunteers from across the street, across town, across the state and from across the country have shown up or sent resources to help feed, clothe, and cleanup. THANK YOU!

With support from the Louisiana National Guard, our Public Works crews have removed over 1000 tons of debris from neighborhood ravaged by the tornado. THANK YOU!

Monroe Fire & Police personnel kept traffic out of affected areas to allow the more than 100 Entergy crewmembers work hard to restore power to all homes and businesses in exactly one week. THANK YOU!

Governor John Bel Edwards, Congressman Ralph Abraham, and other state & federal officials and/or their staff members have toured the neighborhoods that were damaged by the Easter Sunday tornado. They have our full attention and are working with us to make available resources for the people who need it most. THANK YOU!

City Council Chairwoman Juanita Woods and members of the Monroe City Council, Senator Katrina Jackson, State Representatives Fred Jones & Pat Moore, Ouachita Parish Police Jurors Michael Thompson and Lonnie Hudson and a host of other officials have been helping distribute various necessities to those in need. THANK YOU!

Reggie McDaniel, from MAC'S FRESH MARKET, donated one thousand $50 store gift cars to tornado victims. Walmart donated a truckload of water. Ouachita Coca-Cola United donated various beverages. The Food Bank of NELA donated beverages and food. Louisiana Healthcare Connections donated various. THANK YOU!

We continue to feel the prayers for our city from those around the world! Together, we will rebuild. We are ALL in this together!
