No Struggle, No Progress

Herman Colston Memories Cherished

In this life, all will cross two roads, both life and death, which both have unknown dates. Hearts are saddened upon the passing of Herman O'Neal Colston, 52, who died Saturday, March 14, 2020. Herman was a 1985 Ouachita Parish High School graduate and was a resident of the Newtown Community in Monroe, LA. He was a very caring, fun, loving person who lived life to the fullest. His willingness to help anyone was witnessed by those seniors who he would take and run errands.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

Left to cherish his memories are his mother Mary Flewellen, daughters Devitiny and Kourtni Washington, Whitney and Harmoni Colston, brother Miguel Fewellen, sister Tisha Flewellen, and a host of family and friends. His funeral services are Saturday, March 21, 2020, 11:00AM at Lifeline Ministries in Monroe, LA. Visitation is Saturday at 9:00AM at Lifeline Ministries. Services are entrusted to Smith Funeral Home of Monroe, LA.
