No Struggle, No Progress
I believe while we are on this earth that we should strive to have peace in our lives. Peace comes from many different things, but peace mainly comes from being a whole complete person. When we are whole, we are well and possess a balance of spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical, social, environmental and financial wellness.
When we possess spiritual wellness, we acknowledge that there is a higher power in control over our lives, and we surrender. Spiritual wellness keeps us grounded and comforted at all times. Emotional wellness is when we understand our emotions. When we are emotionally well, we are in control of emotions, but vulnerable to share them when warranted. Intellectual wellness is important because it encourages us to keep our minds sharp. Whenever we read, carry out creative projects, participate in discussions on social or political issues, or attending events that inform us, we are exercising intellectual wellness.
Physical wellness goes hand-in-hand with not only physical movement but with food nutrition practices too. Physical wellness additionally includes (but is certainly not limited) one’s sleep schedule, dental hygiene, and sexual health. Environmental wellness essentially outlines one being in a physical place where they are comfortable and happy. Environmental wellness can be enhanced by living in a place with clean and organized spaces and living in a town with beautiful clean landscapes. The last principle is financial wellness, which encourages money habits that allow us to create financial flexibility. Creating a budget is one way we can find financial wellness. The real challenge is the sweet balance of all seven. This challenge is hard to master, but it can be done. Which three are the hardest principles of peace for you? Which are your most natural three?
