No Struggle, No Progress

I know you are wondering why I brought my hat. This hat is a representation of a person who wears many hats. That would be our Mayor. Now, we all know, if someone wear many hats, that means what? That means they have a whole lot of experience in good work ethics. Now, let's talk about experience.
E – is for Economic Development... various businesses have opened from small to large to create more than 2,000 jobs since 2001.
X – is for eXpertise. He has expertise in business practices that keep Monroe's budget in the surplus.
P- is for Public Safety. Mayor Mayo has been the pacesetter and leader in maintaining the City of Monroe's Fire Department Class 1 Fire rating which means Monroe's Fire dept is one of the best Fire Dept's in the nation.
E- Back to Economic Development. I -20 Lighting development. I know you all see those beautiful lights as you come into Monroe.
R- is for Respect. Respected by his colleagues. Paved the way from Monroe City Hall to the Governor's Mansion. To Capitol Hill...it takes A LOT of experience to do that.
I – is for Inspirational. Throughout his Mayoral term, he has given many inspirational speeches at churches, schools, and community events.
E- is for Expansion. Expansion of major businesses like Vantage, Gardner Denver Thomas, and many more.
N- is for new and innovative ideas like the south side economic development not to mention the new additions and remodeling of our airport.
C- is for Century Link. Under his leadership, Monroe is the Corporate Headquarters' for the Nation's 3rd largest Telecommunications Company.
E- Everybody is somebody. I have mentioned political affiliations and all these adult things but let me tell you, he has time for everyone. My favorite is to see his dress up as Santa and interact with the children at the schools.
The before mentioned letters spell experience. Experience is what we need to keep Monroe going in a positive direction. I hope everyone is listening...We need Experience.
