Farewell Antonio "Duck" Barnes

Family and friends bid farewell to Antonio D. Barnes on Saturday February 8, 2020. He was born the first child of four to Virges Barnes Jones on June 10, 1966 in Monroe LA. Antonio accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was a Carroll High School Graduate and was a member of the football team. Antonio was a 1988 Portland State University Graduate in Portland Oregon obtaining a bachelor of science degree in Justice Administration . He also obtained a Master of Science degree from Eastern College in Philadelphia PA in 1992. Antonio was a Country Director for Africare in Washington D.C. His employment led him to Malawi Africa where he worked as Country Director for seven years. While in Africa he met the love of his life Plackey Barnes who preceded him in death. Antonio went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2020. Left to cherish fond memories are his mother Virges Barnes Jones, grandmother Manilla Jones, two brothers Walter Wilson (Cheryl), G"Aunta Jones Monroe LA, one sister Shawta Barnes Dallas TX and a host of family and friends.
