  • Do The Right Thing

    Jessica DeTiege|Jul 23, 2020

Do The Right Thing I want to think that very few people wake up feeling their day’s work should include hating or harming another person. The reality, however, is that crimes based on hate are committed every day. Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing, is one of many movies that tell the story of racial tensions between different people of varying nationalities. The film especially exposed police brutality issues that often go unnoticed, like the death of Radio Raheem. Even then, a movie depicted the disheartening image of a Black man’s body being...

  • The End is Near

    Jul 23, 2020

To the people of God, let no man deceive you, he that commits sin is of the devil. Whosoever abides in God does not commit sin, whoever sins has never seen him nor knows him. Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin, because God's holy spirit lives in him, therefore he cannot commit sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are known, and you will know the children of the devil. If you keep God's commandments, then whatever you ask, or request of God you will receive. Well Bless God! • Is Wearing A Mask A Bad Idea?

    Eddie Gillis|Jul 23, 2020

This is not rocket science. However, the Great Divide that this nation is experiencing over something as simple as wearing a mask when it is necessary to save a life, is tearing it apart. Furthermore, nowhere is that divide made more evident than from the White House. President Trump who was never someone who was in favor of wearing a mask, said in an interview on Fox that he “believes in and supports” masks, but he will leave the call up to the governors. Why won’t the president just go camera (not twitter) and simply say, “let’s all wear...

  • Hold Elected Officials Responsible Black Citizens

    Perry Thomas|Jul 23, 2020

The greatest mistake, error, or flaw black citizens have when it comes to the local, state and national political arena, is that what they help elect people to office they don’t follow up with holding them responsible for providing true, meaningful, effective, efficient, and tangible, measurable, representation. Too often, blacks just elect people to office as mayor, president, senator, representative, council person, alderperson, police juror, school board member, sheriff, Marshall, district attorney, judge, clerk of court, registrar of v...
