Don't be fooled, District 5, by the smokescreen of the incumbent. She ran four years ago on the Dawson name. However, for her re-election bid, she must stand on her record, and she has sold District 5 out completely. After nearly four years, all we have in District 5 are parking lots at the zoo and Benoit Community Center, some playground equipment, paint on some basketball courts, and a Dollar Store that was already scheduled to be located in south Monroe.
