    In the Washington, DC region, the late honorable, Marion Barry - the second mayor of Washington, DC, 1979-1991, and again 1995-1999 - stood the test of time. He was best known for coming to the aid of his people in DC despite his imperfections. For the loyalty and allegiance, he rendered to his constituents, he, today, is known as the city's Mayor for Life.
